Condition Test

Fitness test (maximal exercise test) on your own bike.

With this fitness test you get a detailed picture of your current fitness level. To be able to train efficiently, it is essential to first determine your personal training zones. This test gives you precise insight into these training zones, both your heart rate zones and the training zones for your power meter or indoor trainer sessions. Taking your sporting goal(s) into account, you will then receive specific training advice to improve your fitness level!

Duration:± 1u30

Price:

  • €175 (incl TAV)
  • Youth (birth year 2008 or younger – minimum age = 15 years): €150 (incl. VAT – cannot be combined with other discounts)

VO2 max measurement

During this test, your maximum oxygen uptake (= VO2 max) can also be determined. The VO2 max is one of the best indicators of cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance capacity. A high VO2 max value indicates greater endurance capacity. For young riders, the VO2 max measurement is important in terms of tracking development throughout growth and/or in terms of drawing up a complete physiological rider profile for teams and federations.

Cost:€50 (incl VAT)

1. Intake interview

During this consultation, we get a detailed picture of your sporting background, goals and training options.

2. Maximal exercise test

You ride your own bike on a professional and accurate Cyclus 2 ergometer. The resistance is increased step by step every 8 minutes until complete exhaustion. Every 4 minutes, your cadence, exercise intensity, heart rate and lactate concentration are measured. Based on the analysis of these parameters, we get a detailed picture of your current fitness level.

During this test, your maximum oxygen uptake (VO2 max) can also be measured. An analysis of your respiratory gases shows us your endurance capacity.

3. Debriefing

After the test, there is an in-depth discussion of your test results. Your strengths and areas for improvement are analysed. Based on your sporting goal(s), you will receive specific training advice.

4. Comprehensive reporting:

  • Your test results
  • Discussion of your strengths and areas for improvement
  • Individual training zones and training advice
  • Optional: VO2 max result
